Rinascente invites everyone to take part in the project for reconstructing its history.

If you have any documents, deeds, contracts, photographs, artwork or posters pertaining to the period between 1865 and the present day that will help us to paint this unique picture of la Rinascente, please complete the form below and share them with us. The sent materials will be displayed in the fund “Your Contributions”, in the Archive section.

Pursuant to articles 10 and 230 of the Italian Civil Code and articles 96 and 97 of Law no. 663 of 22 April 1941 no. (Copyright Law), I hereby authorize Rinascente S.p.a., having registered offices in Milan, at Via Washington 70, Tax Code and VAT reg. no. 05034580968 to use the images uploaded by me on the website http://rinascente-archives.it/ and hereby grant to the same all property rights thereon, including the right to publish, reproduce and use the same, free of charge, without restriction of time, space and territory, at any location, with any technical method known today or that may be invented in the future, within the limits set forth by applicable Italian laws, in any format, for purposes of promotion and disclosure or surveys, and the right to retain such data in the databases of the Company.

I hereby declare that the images are not in conflict with applicable laws and regulations, public decency and public order and that the transfer of the same to Rinascente S.p.a. in no way infringes the rights of third parties, and in any case duly holding Rinascente S.p.a. harmless from all and any liability and the effects of any claim filed by third parties on the images.

Rinascente S.p.a. shall have the right to retain and use the images reproduced permanently, and no fee may be claimed for the use thereof.

I moreover authorize Rinascente S.p.a. to process my personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy indicated hereunder.

PRIVACY POLICY - ARCHIVES

(Pursuant to section 13, paragraph 14 bis, of EU Regulation 2016/679, the “Regulation”)

Rinascente S.p.A. (hereinafter referred to as “Rinascente”) having registered offices in Milan, at Via Washington 70 is the Data Controller of your personal data that are processed in accordance with the Archives project (hereinafter, the "Service") and in compliance with applicable laws and as indicated hereunder.

1. Categories of Personal Data Collected and Used
Rinascente collects and uses only the personal data you provide when you forward documentation for the Archives project, including your name, surname, email address, images/photographs.

Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing

a. Contribution to the project
In order to allow you to contribute to the Archives project, and thus send documentation and images/archive photos about the history of Rinascente to the website www.archives.rinascente.it. The legal basis in this case is that processing is necessary for you to use this service (performance of a contract).

b. Protection of rights
In order to protect our rights in the case of litigation before the competent Authorities. The legal basis in this case is that processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued (protection of our rights in the event of litigation).
You may object to the processing of your personal data at any time, by exercising your rights in the manner indicated by point 6.

c. Compliance with legal obligations
In order to comply with the obligations set forth by law, regulations or an order from the competent authorities. The legal basis in this case is that processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

3. Provision of your Personal Data
Providing this data when you send documentation is obligatory in order to verify the reliability of the source and authenticity of the documents submitted; should you not provide your personal data, or provide incomplete or untrue data, you will be unable to contribute to the project. We only collect data that it is mandatory for you to provide, and not optional data.

4. Recipients of the Personal Data
In order to attain the above purposes, your personal data will be processed by authorized Rinascente personnel (including authorized personnel of the Marketing Department and Information Systems Department), as well as authorized personnel of third parties who act as our data processors (IT service providers and consultants who are responsible for verifying the documentation).
Only if it is strictly necessary to attain the above purposes, your personal data may also be disclosed to independent third-party data controllers, such as the competent Authorities, consultants and lawyers (for example, in the event of litigation).

5. Place of Retention and Retention Time
Rinascente retains your personal data on servers located in the European Economic Area, for the time strictly required to attain the above purposes, in compliance with civil law obligations (article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code) and until the term set forth by Italian law to protect our interests (article 2946 and ff. of the Italian Civil Code) in compliance with the limits set forth by law.

6. Your Rights
As data subject, pursuant to articles 15-21 of the Regulations, you have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and/or a copy thereof (right of access);
  • update, modify and/or rectify your personal data (right to rectification);
  • request that your personal data be erased or restrict processing in the cases set forth by the Regulation, above all if data are processed in breach of the law or if retention thereof is not required for the purposes for which the data were collected or in any case processed (right to erasure or right to be forgotten and the right to restrict processing);
  • withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. (right to withdraw consent);
  • within the limits of the provisions of the Regulations, to receive your personal data, which you have provided to a controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and transmit such data to another controller (right to data portability);
  • you shall also have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your personal data if processing is based on a legitimate interest (paragraph 2 (b) of the Privacy Policy) (right to object).
